Long ago, Serena was to be the Princess of the planet Earth, but Queen Beryl attacked her home on the Moon and all was lost. With the help of Luna, Sailor Moon discovered her tremendous powers and she became a loyal member and friend of the Sailor Scouts. Serena is a typical teenage girl, preoccupied with boys, shopping, and snacking on junk food.

She shouts this phrase to use her Luna/Lunar Pen. Shouting "Disguise Power(Moon Power, ni nare)" followed by whatever she wants to be, disguises her and allows her to get into places or follow people where Serena herself could not go.
